What is FCA?
Female Chefs Alliance is a worldwide chef´s community through an online network
where women working in professional kitchens can connect to each other,
fight against gender inequality and barriers
in order to change the restaurant industry system.
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
Why female chefs?
In theory, we´ve come a long way from the stereotype that a woman´s place is in the kitchen, while a man belongs to the professional one. But in practice, few are the women that manage to survive gender inequality and become great female chefs.
Women around the world as well as minorities
in the restaurant industry, such as the LGBTQ communities, are more than welcome to join
our network.
Our Mission
We aim to create a platform where to share best practices, help each other with current barriers women still face in professional kitchens, obtain professional help with specific issues, and to collaborate with each other around an annual
event´s calendar.
